SHARE

On 29 August 2019, the NSW Department of Planning and Environment approved the State Significant Development application (SSD 9536) for construction and operation of the Wyong Hospital Redevelopment. The planning approval is the result of a thorough assessment of the proposal and its environmental impacts. The project EIS and supporting documentation is available on the Department of Planning and Environment Major Projects webpage.

Progress
The new Wyong Hospital Redevelopment, clinical services building (CSB), has achieved the Conditional Occupation Certificate which is an important milestone allowing Central Coast Local Health District to finalise its operational readiness activities within the new CSB, ahead of the planned go-live in early-August. This concludes construction of the six-storey tower, two level link bridge, ambulance bay served by a new purpose-built ambulance road, under croft carparking and a new asset protection zone. The building is currently undergoing services validation, commissioning and tuning prior to going live.

The final review of consent conditions and certificate requirements is ongoing to ensure that the project is finalised in line with all authority requirements.
