A new MRI machine was delivered to Wyong Hospital in November, which will bring onsite MRI services to the hospital for the first time.

Following its commissioning, the MRI machine is expected to be operational early in 2023.

The NSW Government’s redevelopment of Wyong Hospital has reached a major milestone, with the new building’s first concrete pour taking place.

The $200 million Wyong Hospital Redevelopment has taken a major step forward with a milestone sod turn event and the appointment of the main works contractor. 

The new $35.5 million multistorey Gosford Hospital car park on Showground Road opened in March 2019. The new parking facilities will initially provide 679 new spaces to help ease pressure on patients, staff and visitors.
 

The new car park at Wyong Hospital is now open.
The ground level car park provides over 250 new spaces for patients, staff and visitors.
 Over 100 additional parking spaces will be provided when the new hospital building is constructed.
Once the redevelopment is complete, there will be more than 1,200 parking spaces across the hospital campus.

Gosford Hospital’s new staff and public car park has reached its highest point, bringing the $35.5 million development a step closer to completion. A topping out ceremony was held on the roof of the new multistorey car park to mark the final stage of construction. 

Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Health Minister Brad Hazzard officially opened the new clinical tower that will transform future healthcare on the Central Coast.

The NSW Government has marked a significant milestone in the $200 million Wyong Hospital redevelopment with the start of construction of the new 500-space car park.

The last remaining tower crane was dismantled in October and scaffolding is coming down as the focus moves to work inside the building.

13 October 2015 – The Early Contractor Involvement contract for the construction of the Gosford Hospital redevelopment is awarded to Lend Lease.

14 March 2015 – The NSW Government committed $200 million for the Wyong Hospital redevelopment with more work to commence in the current term of government.

4 February 2015 – The NSW Government announced a $368 million investment in the Gosford Hospital redevelopment.

January 2015 – Early works begin at Gosford Hospital in preparation for the main construction program.

20 June 2014 – An additional $2.7 million announced to finalise planning and start early works at Gosford Hospital and an extra $500,000 announced for further planning work at Wyong Hospital.
