On 6 July 2017, NSW Minister for Health Brad Hazzard announced that the $200 million Wyong Hospital redevelopment will proceed using a Government-led approach. This means that it will proceed in the same fashion as Gosford Hospital.

Preparation has been occurring for enabling works to commence later this year to ensure that the site is ready for construction.

Wyong Hospital redevelopment enabling works will include:

• installation of a new gas main to provide increased capacity for the expanded hospital
• building of a new fire services pump house and connections
• changes to internal roads on the hospital campus to manage staged works and improve tra•c flows
• creation of a temporary new main entry to help minimise impacts on hospital operations where possible • creating a new, ground level car park before the existing front car park becomes a construction zone.

Further information will be provided as the redevelopment progresses.
