Work recently began on the new Central Coast Clinical School and Research Institute at the front of Gosford Hospital.

The development is a jointly funded project from the Australian and NSW Governments and the University of Newcastle.

Leaders from the partner organisations visited the construction site in September to mark the start of work.

The facility is being built on top of the new P2 car park on Showground Road and will be home to the University of Newcastle’s Clinical School as well as a Research Institute for integrated care and population health - a partnership between the University and Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD).

Construction will be carried out by Richard Crookes Constructions, a regional company with experience in delivering health and education projects, including the recent completion of the new P2 car park at Gosford Hospital.
